Jörgen Schaffers

CEO (Chief Executive Officer)
Jörgen has 35 years experience in 2 major pharmaceutical companies: GSK and Pfizer. He has a broad commercial experience both local and global. He has profound P&L and general management capabilities. He launched multiple assets and has an entrepreneurial spirit to start up new businesses. Jörgen has inspired and engaged many teams from small to big in a multi-cultural/international environment within a global network. In 2022, he joined Augmented Anatomy as CEO with a passionate ambition to expand globally.
Thomas Vanden Wyngaerdt

Thomas Vanden Wyngaerdt

CCO (Chief Commercial Officer)
Thomas was appointed Chief Commercial Officer in December 2021 and is responsible to oversee marketing and public relations activities alongside a strong focus on expanding the direct sales into new territories. Thomas has a BA in Business Studies from the University College Ghent. He has extensive knowledge and proven success in people and business transformation as well as setting up new divisions internationally.
Jonas Gomez

Jonas Gomez

CMO (Chief Marketing Officer)
Passionate about Marketing in tecnological environments, developing brand strategies and M&A processes for international companies. Jonas has a degree in Marketing and Market Research, and he’s an MBA teacher at Central University of Catalonia (UVic) . He has experience in Marketing straegy, marketing execution. CRM, web design, and technological platforms.
Stephan Hahn

Stephan Hahn

Computer Vision Engineer
Stephan holds a master’s degree in biomedical engineering, with a specialization in computer vision applied to medical data. He started his career in 2014 as a researcher at ULB, working on machine learning, and image analysis. He joined Augmented Anatomy in 2021, where he brings his experience and knowledge in medical data processing.
Hilde Sobry

Hilde Sobry

Executive Assistant
In addition to her studies in office management and communication, Hilde has over 20 years’ experience in office administration, sales assistance, and customer service. Along with supporting the team, she assists with administrative and operational duties when necessary.
Aubert Bourguigno

Aubert Bourguigno

Development Dept.
Aubert has been working in the field of augmented reality and virtual reality for 4 years in several companies. During his early career, he has been working with Surgeons and Doctors in some medical applications development.
Ben Willemart

Ben Willemart

Sales Manager - France
Ben has extensive commercial and managerial experience. For 27 years, he was at the head of the company he created in the printing and marketing sector. Passionate about new technologies, he joined the Augmented Anatomy team in 2020 for a new challenge. Thanks to his customer experience and determination, he successfully organised Augmented Anatomy’s presence at various aesthetic medicine conferences in Belgium and France. In 2023, in addition to his duties in Belgium, he became Sales Director France.

Raúl Ramírez

Key Account Manager
Passionate about sales and growth in conjunction with innovative projects, with more than 10 years of experience in the sales area. Helping companies grow with the best attitude, experience and proactivity. Specialized in carrying out the whole sales cycle. Both the initial business management, such as administrative monitoring of pre and post sales and the contact with partners for various requests in relation to their own sales and loyalty processes. I can gladly say now I am a part of the sales team of this incredible project. Wishing to fire this up.

Prof. Dr. Benoit Hendrickx

Prof. Dr. Benoit Hendrickx

Chairman
Prof. Dr. Benoit Hendrickx is associate professor in plastic surgery at the Leuven University, and has private practices in Knokke and in Wemmel. He is founder of Augmented Anatomy and member of numerous international societies: RBSPS, ISAPS, EURAP and AAPS. He is author of many scientific publications about facial anatomy and a demanded speaker on International conferences about facial aesthetics.
Thierry Hazevoets

Thierry Hazevoets

CFO (Chief Financial Officer)
Thierry started his career in Finance (Investment Banking and Equity Research with BNP Paribas Fortis and ING Barings). In 2000, he moved to the MedTech industry, joining IBA (www.iba-worldwide.com), world leader in proton therapy, as VP Business Development and member of their Management Team in Belgium and in San Francisco, CA. Later, he founded Merodis, a leading M&A boutique specialized in IT and Healthcare based in Brussels, Belgium. In 2018, he co-founded Augmented Anatomy and became our Chief of Staff and CFO.
Dr. Karl Waked.

Dr. Karl Waked.

CSO (Chief Scientific Officer)
Dr. Karl Waked is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon and co-founded Augmented Anatomy in 2018. Being familiar with both the medical and technical aspects of the company, he delivers input in both product and business development. As CSO, he is involved in MRI optimization, image processing and validation, leading scientific studies and co-organizing the sales funnel.
Prof. Dr. Marc Mespreuve

Prof. Dr. Marc Mespreuve

Co-Founder
Prof. Dr. Marc Mespreuve is professor in Medical Imaging at the University Hospital of Ghent (UZ Gent) and has a practice at the St.-Maarten Hospital in Mechelen. He co-founded Augmented Anatomy in 2018.. As member of numerous international societies (ESR, RSNA, ESSR, BSR,…) and author of many scientific publications – including facial vascular imaging – he is also the designer of the IR-MRI sequences.
